Notice: Adams County to become paperless

Effective June 1, 2021, the Adams County Chancery Clerk’s office will become a paperless office. All documents submitted for “recording” will be maintained in electronic form only. As a result, this will require cancellations to be presented and recorded. The Clerk’s office will no longer be able to “cancel” instruments “on their face.”

This change will not affect how documents are presented to the Clerk’s office for recording. The original instrument will still be presented to the Chancery Clerk’s office for recording and will be returned to the preparer. The Clerk’s office will no longer be keeping land record books.

If you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to contact the Adams County Chancery Clerk’s office at 601-446-6684 or via email at blewis@adamscountyms.gov.
