Earlier today (March 24, 2020), Governor Reeves issued Executive Order no. 1463. Pursuant to this order, professional services, including legal services, real estate services, and title services, is considered an “Essential Business or Operation.” Any Essential Business or Operation providing essential services or functions may operate at such level as necessary to provide essential services or functions and shall not be subject to any 10-person gathering limitation or any other limitation or restriction inconsistent with the order. However, such Essential Business or Operation, must take all reasonable measures to ensure compliance with the CDC and Mississippi Department of Health recommendations and guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including, but not limited to, social distancing and sending sick employees or employees who appear to have respiratory illness symptoms home.
