Adoption is an amazing thing. It can be exciting, stressful, overwhelming, and humbling. One of our very own – the Joe Powell and his family – has seen and felt it all. When asked about the experience, Joe said:
My biggest word of wisdom is that when we adopted the first time I was already 40 and we had two almost-grown sons. I initially was apprehensive about adoption because I was ready to “rest.” But God showed me not to be selfish and open my heart for continued parenting. And now we have children 21, 18, almost 9, and almost 4!
