Mississippi Title Act has been Tabled

The Association’s Board of Directors made the decision at its December 2021 board meeting to suspend any further efforts on the pursuit of the proposed Mississippi Title Insurance Act. Although the Special Committee, comprised of around 50 volunteers, has spent approximately two years working on the proposed Act, there remained a lack of unanimity among the Association’s members.

Given the limited resources and relative age of the Association, the Board decided it would be better to focus on building relationships with legislators and other industry stakeholders and to continue building a more active membership base.
