Zachary Atwood is Mississippi State Counsel and Senior Counsel (AL, AR, MS) for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Zac was raised in Ellisville, Mississippi, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2013. While in law school, Zac practiced as a limited practice student attorney in several areas of law. He served as judicial clerk for Chancellor Edwin Roberts, Jr., and worked as a law fellow in the University of Mississippi General Counsel’s Office. Following his admission to the Mississippi Bar, Zac left the University of Mississippi General Counsel’s Office and began a litigation career. From 2014 until 2019, Zac practiced law across the entire State of Mississippi. His practice, while involving various areas of law, included handling real property law in the areas of land title issues and real property disputes. After roughly five years of litigation experience, Zac joined STGC in January 2019.  He is licensed to practice law in Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi, and is a member of the land title associations for each state. He has been designated an ALTA National Title Professional and serves as a Mentor in ALTA’s Wings Mentorship Program. Zac serves on the Underwriting Mentorship Committee for Stewart, leading the education and training effort for Stewart’s many legal divisions.  He currently serves as President of the Southeast Land Title Association and is a frequent speaker at land title association events and realtor and title agent seminars. Zac and his wife, Mary, are the proud parents of daughter Ella and son Ben.
