EO No. 1466 – Shelter in Place
The new executive order (No. 1466) issued Wednesday, April 1st, by Gov. Reeves limits activities statewide to essential services as defined by prior Executive Order No. 1463. While county and municipal orders may issue their own more restrictive orders, they cannot be more restrictive in relation to the designation of essential businesses. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 1463, professional services, including legal services, real estate services, and title services, is clearly an “essential business” statewide. For everyone in our industry and our partner industries working hard to serve our real estate community while following public health safety protocols, this is welcome news.
