04. Understanding Conveyances

This section of the Title 101 series will discuss the basic concepts of conveyances including:

• Title to real property;
• Chain of Title;
• Types of Deeds;
• Formatting Standards;
• Deed provisions;
• Legal Descriptions; and
• Acknowledgments.

These topics are fundamental to an abstractor’s or title examiner’s understanding of land title law. This course focuses on basic common law and includes citations and references to Mississippi law.
