Webinar – Insuring Land with Access Issues – March 4, 2025
Join us on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to noon, for a live webinar. A common source of claims revolves around access issues, either due to a complete lack of a legal right of access or a mistake in providing additional coverage over access matters. Title insurers have specific guidelines and requirements to insuring access, whether access is based on direct or indirect means. This webinar will take a look at those issues, the policy coverages, and endorsement coverages related to access to the property.
Zachary Atwood serves as Associate Senior Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company covering Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Zac was raised in Ellisville, Mississippi, and received his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2013. He served as judicial clerk for Chancellor Edwin Roberts, Jr. in Oxford and worked as a law fellow in the University of Mississippi General Counsel’s Office. Following his admission to the Mississippi Bar, Zac left the University of Mississippi General Counsel’s Office and began a litigation career. His practice, while involving various areas of law, included handling real property law in the areas of land title issues and real property disputes. Zac joined STGC in January 2019 as underwriting counsel. He is licensed to practice law in Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi, and is a member of the land title associations for each state. He has been designated an ALTA National Title Professional and is a frequent speaker at land title association events and realtor and title agent seminars. Zac and his wife, Mary, are the proud parents of daughter Ella and
son Ben.
