Each newly admitted attorney must complete a new-lawyer program approved by the Mississippi Commission on Continuing Legal Education. This program consists of 12 hours of CLE, including 6 hours of basic skills training and 6 hours of ethics/professionalism.
No. LTAMS does not offer courses for newly admitted attorneys. All of our courses are designed to education members of the land title industry.
Yes, up to 12 credit hours may be carried forward. Carry over hours must be reported in the year they are completed and must be designated as carry forward hours when you report your CLE compliance. Ethics hours may only be carried over as general credits.
Yes, under the Mississippi CLE Requirements we must monitor your course attendance and completion. All of our courses – Title 101, On Demand, and Title Training – require that you pass one or more quizzes to confirm that you have completed the course and obtained a minimum proficiency level.
LTAMS does report courses completed by Agent and Underwriter members only to the Mississippi Commission on Continuing Legal Education. All other members that are Mississippi attorneys are required to self-report the completion of their required CLE hours in the CLE Annual Report Statement. We do maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.

The CLE Annual Report Statement will be mailed to you in June. The Annual Report will list all the CLE hours that you have reported to the Mississippi Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Any additional CLE courses that you completed may also be added to this form. Each Mississippi attorney must submit the Annual Report to the Mississippi Commission on Continuing Legal Education by August 15.
