Gretchen focuses her practice in the area of real property, primarily in real estate closings. She also handles legal needs for small businesses including formation, lease review, and contracts. She is active in the Greater Jackson community and is an avid real estate investor.

Gretchen began her practice in the area of environmental law and toxic tort litigation spending several years representing manufacturers, construction contractors and refineries. Later, she worked as a legal consultant in the field of toxic torts where she gained additional litigation experience. Gretchen served as in-house counsel for an appraisal group where she acquired extensive knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, valuation, and eminent domain issues. She has represented multiple clients in front of both judges and juries in state and federal courts. She is licensed in every Mississippi Court, including the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal District Courts. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and is the past Chair of the Small Firms Committee for the Young Lawyer’s Division.

Gretchen graduated cum laude from University of Mississippi School of Liberal Arts. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and a Sigma Nu Little Sister. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1997. While in law school she was a Member of the Mississippi Law Journal, a member of Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, and was awarded the Edith Waits Turley Memorial Scholarship.

Gretchen has served on the board of directors for several community-based organizations such as the Junior League of Jackson, Operation Shoestring and Mississippi Children’s Museum Partner’s Board. She is active in Madison County Public Schools and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson’s Class of 2012-13, where she served as a small group chair.
